The Jubilee Cup is an annual inter-club photographic competition hosted by The Barnet and Finchley Photographic Society (B&F).  It is unusual in that it requires competitors to enter both printed and projected images.  So, armed with 12 of our best-scoring pictures from the last year, we set-off for the strange lands of North London.  For the last four years the trophy has been ours and so in 2026 we hoped to continue that run of high scores.  We did quite well with our Projected Image entry coming-in at equal first place.  Unfortunately, when the print scores were added, we dropped down the rankings finishing in an overall place of second.  It is one of the vagaries of photo competition judging that images that score 20 (out of 20) with one judge, can only achieve 16 or 17 with another.

A spokesperson for the PB Society said that “we are sorry to lose our winning streak with the Jubilee Cup, but Southgate Club was a worthy winner.  We will re-group and look forward to seeing everyone in 2027.  Our thanks to B&F for holding the well-attended evening and to those club members from PB whose images were used.”
