The Potters Bar Trophy
Inter Club Digital Competition Rules
- Each club shall enter eight digital images and an additional image as a tie breaker.
- No more than two images by the same photographer.
- No image may have been entered in previous Potters Bar Inter Club Competitions.
- Images are to be posted to the competition secretary at least 14 days before the event.
- Digital files should not exceed the 1600 pixels in width and 1200 pixels in height and should be JPEG files in sRGB colour space.
- The file name of each image file should be formatted as follows:
a. Title in CAPITAL LETTERS followed by a space
b. Followed by a hyphen followed by a space,
c. Followed by the name of the submitting club in title case or club initials all in capitals
d. Followed by “.jpg”Avoid using image names that contain a hyphen as this will confuse the competition software.Example:
THE SKY AT NIGHT – Potters Bar Photo Soc.jpg
OR
THE SKY AT NIGHT – PBPS.jpg - The title will be displayed when each image is shown.
- A written list of the titles, the name of the photographer and the name of the club entering is to be provided at the same time the entry is submitted. The list should indicate which image is to be used for the tie break.
- Each image will be marked out of twenty
- Images must not be more than two years old.
- The wining club shall hold the trophy until the next competition. It is the winning club’s responsibility to have the trophy engraved with their name and the year of their success. The trophy is to be returned to the Potters Bar Competition Secretary in time for the following years competition.
