On 2 Feb 26 we were very pleased to welcome Colin Strong back to a Society meeting.  For over 40 years Colin was an active member of the Society and only stopped attending when he moved away from Potters Bar.  Colin gave us a fascinating talk on how he started in photography with a rather basic Beirette 35mm camera and progressed through a series of makes and models of camera before settling on contemporary Canon mirrorless equipment; gaining significant photographic distinctions along the way.

He reflected upon how photography styles and challenges have changed over the years along with many self-deprecating comments about his own photographic skills.  The evening was illustrated by many and varied projected images, prints and an audio visual presentation.

It was very good to welcome Colin back who, in recognition of his long and dedicated service to the Society now holds honorary life membership of Potters Bar and District Photographic Society
