Seeing (very) small stuff
15 January 2026
New Year, new programme.
We are now back at Wyllyotts Theatre for our regular Monday evening meetings.
On 12 Jan 26, our first presentation of the year was an excellent show by Jeremy Lintott called “Looking Closer“, an exploration of macro photography.
Jeremy said “There is so much beauty and fascination in nature that goes un-noticed by us. In this talk I showed my close-up images of fungi, slime moulds and insects, and discussed the techniques involved, as an encouragement to stop and look closer at what is around us.”
Monday 19th January is a Zoom evening and then we settle down to our regular evenings at Wyllyotts Theatre.
One member’s reaction to the talk was a “….fantastic talk with the most beautiful images, made me want to race out and search for slime mould!”
Potential members are always welcome to come along and see what the Society is all about. Up to three visits can be made for no fee and January is a great time to start out the us.
