For the second meeting in a row, we had an evening based around creativity.

This week, the creativity was demonstrated to us and not created by us.  Jonathan Vaines is an imaginative photographer often using multiple exposures to create is images.  Some of his pictures have many hundreds of images (some of nearly 700).  While he does use manipulation software (indeed he teaches it for a living) he tries to keep things “simple” by creating his pictures in-camera.

This was a meeting full of inspiration and tips & techniques.  Jonathan also discussed some of his project work, personal plans that revolve around a particular theme; these are often thought provoking pictures on themes as serious as the war in Ukraine and the 11th September 2001 attacks on New York.
