Our year is over and the trophies have been presented.

The 9^th of December saw our final meeting of 2024 which was a combined social evening and “prize giving”.  The success recognised was:

• Fiona Adamson: Projected Image of the year trophy (cumulative competition – Advanced Class)
  Douglas Best Trophy – Triptychs
  Hornby Cup – Public vote at The Galleria exhibition.
• Lesley Alsford:   Print of the Year trophy (cumulative competition – Advanced Class)
  Print of the Year 2024 (Advanced Class).
• Cheryl Bullock:  Hales Cup – for pictures “straight out of camera”.
• Terry Day:           Print of the Year trophy (cumulative competition – General Class)
  Print of the Year 2024 (General Class).
• David Fordham: Exhibition Cup – Galleria Exhibition award
  Linbird Cup – for pictures “straight out of camera”.
• Bob Scarlett:      Oakmere Cup for Monochrome prints.
• Sam Segar:         Projected Image of the Year 2024 (Advanced Class).
• Manjari Shah:    Projected Image of the year trophy (cumulative competition – General Class)
  Projected Image of the Year 2024 (General Class).

Manjari and Terry will now compete in the Advanced Classes of their respective victories.

The evening was one of quizzes and chat, food and drink, discussion and awards.   An additional presentation was made to Trevor Leach in recognition of his stalwart efforts in setting-up the club room equipment every evening.

At the end of the evening, our President, Helen Frost, thanked those who had compiled the evening’s quizzes, supplied the food or helped in any way.  She added that The Society has been approached to supply some pictures of Potters Bar and asked members to either look through their files or shoot some new pictures.

Our next meeting will be a Zoom session in January with the next gathering at Wyllyotts Theatre on 13^th January with the first round of 2025’s print competition.
