………and the winners are

20 November 2024

The results are in for 2024’s cumulative competitions.

Whoever gains the highest cumulative score across the five heats of both projected image and print competitions wins a trophy.  Those who come first in the General Class also win “promotion” to the Advanced Class.  All pictures are assessed by external judges, with a possible 20 points being available for each picture entered.

In the General Class for Projected Images, Manjari Shah won the competition by just one point in a run of total scores that included two “perfect” scores of 40 points.  As a result, Manjari will compete in the Advanced Class in 2025.  The Advanced Class was won by Fiona Adamson with a series of consistently good scores throughout the season.

In the print competition, Terry Day had lead the General Class for most of the year and was a clear winner and so joins the Advanced Class next year.  The Advanced Class was won by Lesley Alsford.  2024’s Advanced Class competition was a close-run event throughout the year but Lesley’s “perfect” score of 40 in the final round was enough to win by one point.

We still have the “Print of the Year” and “Projected Image of the Year” competitions in November and December.
